Well, maybe not yet, but this kid loves to play on the piano. The only thing he likes more is trying to steal Daddy's camera while I'm taking his picture!

I never got around to posting about CJ's 12mo ckup so thought I would update everyone. He weighed in at 22lbs 9ozs. He is 30 inches tall. We think he will end up being tall like his Grandpa. He is doing new things almost daily. He has just started waving bye bye and clapping. He is really close to walking but is still holding onto the wall. He thinks it is funny when we say No. I don't find it that funny and am trying to be patient when he smiles and laughs at me. He now says night, night and duck in addition to ma ma and da da.
We have all been sick for the past few weeks. Not fun with the holidays almost here. I think CJ and I are finally on the mend after being on antibiotics for a while now. Christopher says he is feeling better too even though he is coughing as I type this.:)

Today is CJ's first birthday! I can't believe a year has already passed. It is exciting to watch him grow up and do new things on a daily basis but I also miss the little baby that I used to snuggle up with. Here are a few pictures of our little man from when he was a newborn to the present day as a birthday boy.

We spent last week in Orlando with the Atkinson and Williams clans (and a few days with some of the St. Mary's crew and Fearnow crew). It was a fun, crazy, tiring, painful adventure but put smiles on CJ's face making it all worth while. CJ did great as usual, you'll see in a few pictures his droopy tired eyes and with the exception of a little explosion here and there he was an absolute angel. I got sick about half way through with a cold, and then the same day had a lovely time with another kidney stone. I passed it quickly though so it didn't damper the fun too much. We stayed in a house about 10 minutes from Disney. We did 2 days of Seaworld and 2 days at the Magic Kingdom the rest of the time we spent recovering and planning and implementing CJ's birthday party. I'll post some video later of his party but for now here is a slideshow of the week.

CJ and I went to the Ga National Cemetery in Canton today to visit my grandfather's (and grandmother's) gravesite. I like to go on Veteran's Day but this year we will be in Orlando so we went a little early. The first picture is coming over the hill coming into the cemetery. It really is a beautiful place and I'm glad we live so close to it.
Thank you to all of the men and women that have served their country and also that continue to serve!

CJ had an awesome time tonight trick-or-treating with his cousins. He got a lot of candy for Daddy . As you can see below CJ was the Incredible Hulk. The clothing was just OK so we airbrushed his face green and he wore some glow in the dark contacts (just kidding Grandparents ).
This year the neighborhood was really packed with kids. We bought 3 big bags from BJ's and gave out pretty much all of it (well Pops did while we lugged around the Incredible Hulk [Thx Pops!])
Robin and I both got a pretty good workout, next year I'm thinking wagon! Anyhow, be sure to check out some of the other pics to the left and or in the media gallery under CJ.

Last weekend we visited Fort Mountain State Park with the Laine crew. We had a great time just relaxing and doing some hiking and sight seeing. Rick and Amy let us borrow their backpack carrier so CJ could hike with us. We had a blast, CJ loved hiking and never once cried just took in the sights with us! On Saturday we also went to one of the lookouts and ran into a guy that had 4 beautiful Siberian huskies. Check out the picture below, they were sure happy to meet CJ. While CJ wasn't overly happy to be greeted by 4 dogs trying to lick his face he didn't get upset (just a little annoyed).
On a CJ update note we've had a couple of heart-wrenching nights. It seems the separation anxiety has kicked in. The last 2 times I put him to bed he wailed for a long time. The first time I was a sucker and kept going in and picking him up after about an hour he finally fell asleep on me (of course I was running solo that night). Last night we weathered the storm and let him wail for about 5 minutes before he cried himself to sleep :(. He is crawling all over the place and standing up on his own and doing some cruising (according to Robin that is the technical term for holding onto the couch and moving/walking down it).

Check out more photos to the left...
